Life began for Vida in 2006 when its founders Karen Humphries and Tracy Williams wowed a panel of judges to win a competition to help promising entrepreneurs. It was hosted by the Warrington Business Centre and the prize was an office for 12 months plus mentoring by 2 successful local business people.

Both Karen and Tracy’s passionate belief in the Vida concept is evident to all who meet them. Their ultimate aim is to help people relax and enjoy their busy lives. Promoting good health and a work-life balance

Karen Humphries has spent many years in the commercial world, working at senior management level and has seen the effects that 'bad stress' can have on performance and attendance amongst valued staff. She decided to study holistic therapies and counselling so that she could do something positive to make a difference to the lives of others.

Karen has VTCT Diplomas in holistic therapies which include Aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Holistic Facials. She is also a qualified practitioner of Colour therapy, Hopi Ear Candling and Hot Stone Massage. A Reiki Master and national gold medal award winner in Aromatherapy.

In 2008 Karen qualified as a Clinical and Analytical Hypnotherapist and has now introduced hypnotherapy workshops to the corporate sector.

Karen loves her varied workload and always finds time for her private clients who visit her clinic in Grappenhall, Warrington. She also enjoys cycling, walking in natural surroundings and cooking for friends.

Tracy Williams has spent many years in the health and fitness industry teaching aerobics and fitness as far a field as America. It was whilst working on the cruise ships that she experienced massage and decided this was something she would like to do.

She qualified with a VTCT in Body massage in 2000 in Colchester Essex. Tracy then went on to complete a full Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Therapy, which covers Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Holistic Facials. Tracy is also a practitioner of Indian Head Massage and Thermal Auricular Therapy.

Tracy is still very much fitness orientated and incorporates her knowledge into Vida, particularly with her desk yoga sessions.

Married with 2 children she enjoys running and yoga.
